When learning feels hard, the right support can change everything.
When your child is struggling, everything can feel heavier: homework time, school mornings, conversations with teachers, even your confidence as a parent. You may have tried extra help before and still feel unsure where to turn next.
Through personalized in-home and online tutoring, students are met where they are, supported in the ways they learn best, and guided forward with care.

Understanding that builds confidence
Learning challenges can feel overwhelming, especially when a child’s needs have not been fully understood. With specialized training in autism, dyslexia, behavioral challenges, and learning differences, support is offered with patience, clarity, and compassion, helping students build confidence and workable strategies.

Support designed around your child
Every student learns differently. Sessions are thoughtfully tailored to each child’s strengths, learning style, and academic needs, so support feels clear, focused, and effective. Instruction may include reading and writing, math through 8th-grade algebra, executive functioning, homework support, and test preparation.

Progress without added stress
Tutoring is designed to fit into real family life. A combination of in-person and online sessions provides consistency without the stress of travel. Learning takes place in a familiar, comfortable environment, helping students feel safe, focused, and supported week after week.
Building confidence by starting with what works.
Progress happens fastest when a child’s strengths are honored.
If a student loves art but struggles with handwriting, creative expression becomes a bridge to skill-building. If a child communicates well verbally but finds reading difficult, spoken language becomes a
foundation for literacy growth.
By connecting what a child enjoys with what they find challenging, learning becomes less frustrating and far more effective.
We support independent thinking and real-world problem-solving.
Every day builds confidence, creativity, and a love of learning.
Each session is tailored to your child's unique needs, pace, and potential.

Working together feels steady, thoughtful, and reassuring, especially for families who’ve tried other solutions without success.

Heather has been an integral part of my son’s education. He has dyslexia, dysgraphia, and ADHD. Tutoring with Heather has been the primary reason my son has grown as much as he has academically. The schools are not providing him with as much help as he needs and he would be many grade levels behind if it weren’t for Heather’s academic approach and patience. Heather has been very accommodating and understanding with our schedule and supporting my son during big challenges.
My son works with Heather both in person and virtually and she is able to keep his attention and remain patient with him when he’s feeling less motivated. We are so grateful for Heather and her tutoring program. It has been a game changer for my son and I feel less stressed knowing we don’t have to deal with homework battles. We will keep tutoring with Heather as long as possible and highly recommend her services. ~Nikki B.

Heather supported my teen son with his writing assignments and in learning algebra. He was diagnosed with ADHD and found it so challenging to keep up with the pace required in high school. She was patient with him, guiding him with tools that I’m certain he still uses. I highly recommend her for tutoring! ~Melissa M.
I welcome children from 5-18 years old, with programs tailored to each stage of learning.
I believe that all students have the capacity for learning. A key part of my approach is linking a student's strengths to their challenges and understanding their individualized way of learning. I focus on meeting students where they are, building upon their existing skills rather than pushing forward beyond their current abilities.
I have a Oregon Special Education Credential for students with Mild/Moderate/Severe Disabilities.
I provide quick, evidence-based assessments and work closely with parents to navigate student homework platforms. My services also include helping families navigate specialists and the school system, and I am available to collaborate with other teachers and specialists at your request. For your convenience, I offer a flexible hybrid and online learning environment.
I share weekly updates and communicate vie text, email and phone calls.
